Get ready for an electrifying night of virtuoso guitar showpieces as Israeli-Canadian guitarist David Bolshoy is back in town! He will perform alongside Symphony Nova Scotia at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax on March 27, 2025.
After a successful show in 2016, we can’t wait to watch Bolshoy’s live performance again. On his upcoming visit, he will be playing two showpieces—Joaquin Rodrigo’s emotional Concierto de Aranjuez and Beethoven’s vibrant Symphony No. 2.
The night will feature a more recent composition by Chris Brubeck called Affinity. It’s a heartfelt tribute to his late father, the late jazz artist David Brubeck.
Also inspired by a brilliant musician, Carlos Simon wrote a deeply moving composition called Now Conquers after reading an entry from Beethoven’s journal. This highly spirited, frenzied piece always keeps us on the edge of our seats.
