Cons

Knowledgeable, thorough, and kind
“AMAZING experience and customer care. The knowledgeable Dr. Roach gave me a thorough exam and made several recommendations for a pair of frames that would best suit my unusual prescription. Loraine was then skilful and kind helping me narrow down to my choice from a wide selection of frames. I ended up getting a colourful pair that I’m very excited about. Thanks Dr. Roach and Loraine for listening to my thoughts and being so knowledgeable and kind! Would recommend Insight for anyone looking for eye care and prescription glasses or sunglasses in the Halifax area.”

Friendly and patient, going above and beyond
“I had an excellent experience at the Insight Optometry. I had a severe red eye that had developed to be very painful overnight, I had requested for an appointment on Friday morning, I didn’t expected to be seen on that day but the kind receptionist (I think its Janelle, sorry if I got the name wrong) had given me an appointment with Dr. Roach. My experience with Dr. Roach and her assistant Noah was absolutely amazing. They both were very friendly and listened patiently to my issue. Dr. Roach took some time and tested my eye, discussed with some more specialists at Eye Care Center QE-II and referred me to one of the doctors there because of the seriousness of my issue. I am writing this review on the Saturday evening with most of my eye’s redness gone and I am feeling very better now. Thanks Dr. Roach for going above and beyond on a busy Friday afternoon and doing what’s right for the patient. The world needs more people like you!”

“An excellent experience. Great options for appointment times, easy online booking, complimentary parking. My exam was timely, thorough, and each step was explained to me. I really appreciated the chance to review the digital images and to chat to Dr. McGinty about an eye exam for my toddler. Alicia was a total gem when it came to setting me up with frames; I usually dread having to browse through endless options but she was quick to learn my taste and matched me with a pair I can’t wait to wear!”

“My family has entrusted its care to Dr. Scott (and previously Dr. Carew as well) for many years, and they have always provided great service. Recently my prescription has become more complicated (gotta love getting older, lol), and Dr. Scott has been absolutely committed to ensuring my glasses do their job – including reordering lenses at no additional cost to me when they didn’t quite do so. In addition, Stephanie has been an absolute joy to work with when it comes to selecting and fitting new frames. Highly recommended.”

Good experience with personal follow up call
“My husband and I as always had good experience with Dr. Allison Scott and we both were recommended to try office lenses as they were 50% off until July 15, 2024. I had Stephanie helping me choose my new frame and I got the discounted lenses. My husband went a few days after when the promotion was still on but got charged full price and the promotion was never mentioned and applied by Michelle costing him close to $1,000. Not happy with them offering promos to selected customers and leaving out of it qualified customers like my husband resulting of hundred of dollars out of pocket expenses for our family.*** Customer Service at this location went above and beyond to correct and apply promo credit, including personal follow up call from Dr. Alisson Scott.”

Katie worked with me to find the right kind of frames, and Katie even figured out my insurance arrangement so that my claim went through. I feel better about getting glasses now.
