How We Reviewed

Turnaround Speed & Convenience: We prioritised businesses offering quick turnarounds or streamlined, next-day door-to-door pickups across the HRM. Providers that save you the most time scored the highest.
Equipment Capacity & Versatility: We selected facilities equipped with heavy-duty washers and oversized propane dryers. These machines can safely clean bulky household items like heavy coats and thick comforters.
Reputation & Longevity: We highlighted trusted local services that have served local communities with consistent and friendly customer care. Companies with strong community ties and long histories tend to offer much more reliable results.
Comprehensive Care Options: We chose providers offering dry cleaning services to give a single-stop solution for maintaining everyday apparel and delicate suits. Having a convenient place for everything simplifies the process.

Address: 2198 Windsor Street

Contact: (902) 422-7098

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Friday to Sunday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Bluenose Laundromat is a solid laundry service that has provided reliable community care and commercial cleaning since 1980. Now, they have two locations in Halifax to accommodate more clients.

They offer excellent drop-off wash-and-fold options, with daily pickup and delivery routes. Same-day services are available too!

If you run a business, they can handle bulky items with ease. They offer a dedicated commercial laundry service that can handle the needs of hotels, restaurants, and Airbnbs.

All these perks aren’t surprising, given that they’re equipped with 30 washers and 15 huge industrial dryers that can tackle almost anything you throw at them.

The main downside is their strong focus on large commercial clients, which sometimes makes the self-serve area feel a bit crowded.

Pros

  • Two Halifax locations
  • Same-day services available
  • Works with hotels, restaurants, and Airbnbs
  • Equipped with industrial dryers

Cons

  • Self-serve area can feel crowded at times

Excellent laundry place

Excellent, bright and cheery place for laundry. Coffee shop next door. All new, smells great and clean. And the best part is being able to use the app to pay.  Good neighbourhood for a walk while you’re waiting.

Amazing place

This place is amazing. The woman who handles the drop off laundry is a living god of folding. I’m talking magic. Some uncanny mix of natural talent, years of mastery, and a  touch of loving craftsmanship allows her to press every last molecule of air out of clothes while keeping them wrinkle free and all articles perfectly aligned to the exact same size.

3. SudDrop

The only drawback is their restricted schedule, as they only pick up bags between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Good experience

Laundry was delivered clean, folded and smelling good within 24 hours of collection. The courier/valet was great, and the communication via text was good. We could track the progress on their website too. We were travelling so was a super efficient way to get clean clothes while not having access to a washing machine.

Really convenient

It was quick and easy to book, they were able to pick up same day, and we got our laundry back the next day. Really convenient for getting large items washed that wouldn’t fit in our dryer. We will use again when we get back from vacation, and when the laundry pile is just to big.

4. Spin Cycle Laundry

Website:https://spincyclelaundry.co/

Address: 1312 Bedford Highway, Bedford

Contact: (902) 600-9068

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

We like Spin Cycle Laundry for operating a highly flexible laundry service, from self-serve options to same-day drop-off washing.

If you prefer to do your own laundry, they’re equipped with small and large washers. There are heavy-duty machines large enough for massive bedding.

As for the wash-and-fold service, you can drop off dirty clothes in the morning and pick them up the same day at six in the evening.

Their pickup and delivery are highly convenient. They have next-day home delivery packages and free delivery across the HRM.

The catch is, their laundry service is closed on Sundays, leaving you scrambling for a weekend drop-off.

Pros

  • Equipped with small and large washers
  • Wash-and-fold service available the same day
  • Offers free and next-day home delivery in the HRM
  • Offers self-serve laundry service

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Customer Reviews

Amazing

My experience at Spin Cycle Laundry was amazing. Unfortunately my washing machine broke a couple days ago and with kids, laundry piles up quickly. They not only accepted my drop off right away, but completed everything also same day. My clothes smell and feel amazing. Maybe I’ll cancel the new washer delivery 😉

Thanks Spin team!

Repeat customer

Spin Cycle Laundry has been a life saver! All of my clothes have come back in immaculate condition and the time it’s saved me cannot be understated. I’ve been a repeat customer and will continue to be!

If you’re in a rush, you’ll love their 20-lb front loaders. They extract extra water during the wash cycle, drastically reducing your total drying time.

Customer Reviews

Quite good

The laundry is quite good, it has about 20 washing machines and probably 15 dryers someways are busier than others but you can always have a machine or dryer to use only one inconvenience there are No wash rooms. That’s available Mondays – Friday in the business upstairs next door.👍🏾

Keep up the good work

I’ve been going to this laundromat for over eight years, and the most recent new owners have done more in the last four months then the previous owners did in years. They’ve cleaned up the place, keep it clean, have painted, and have modernized the machines into this century. No more tokens, which honestly were more trouble than they were worth. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else. They have a desire to help customers, and in today’s world, that is not only rare, but admirable. Keep up the good work.
