Brilliance Computer Technologies is many people’s first choice for repairs. This is, in part, thanks to their amazing prices, which are currently the lowest in Halifax.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn that they don’t even charge for quick fixes sometimes, which is very rare in this day and age. They won’t ask for payment either if they weren’t able to solve your problem.
But for the most part, they usually find solutions for hardware issues. They’re really good at upgrading dated tech, too, making them extra popular among older folks.
The way they talk to customers is also a huge plus. The technicians are very friendly, and it seems that they really enjoy helping people.
Schedule-wise, however, they don’t always deliver on what they promise. If they say a repair is going to take three days, it’s best to call and check — otherwise, you might waste a trip, only to find that they’re still working on it.

Many were sad to hear that Two Bad Cats Computer Sales & Services recently closed their physical location. They converted into a mobile business that goes to their customers instead of the other way around.
As convenient as this is, some people don’t enjoy having to contact them first instead of simply dropping by whenever they find free time.
But the majority of their clients don’t mind. In fact, they say that it’s more cost-effective, with the technicians picking up and delivering the device after the service.
We think you’ll be happy to know that they work quite fast, too. In just a few days, they can usually repair system bugs, corrupted data, and damaged hardware.

Beyond fantastic
“Beyond fantastic! Went in with my computer when the hard-drive failed and wouldn’t boot up. They were able to retrieve all my data and load it onto a new hard-drive. They also fixed my cpu fan and a few other minor issues. It only took a few days to get my computer back and running better than ever. Highly knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Hard Drive Cafe accepts and repairs every single computer brand under the sun. Whether you have an Apple Laptop or a desktop that runs on Windows, you can bet that they have the necessary parts and expertise to fix the problem.
In the past, they’ve been able to successfully remove viruses, fix charging issues, and replace broken keyboards or screens. What really impressed us is that most of their clients say it only took them a day to finish the job.
But these technicians are also honest when a repair is too tricky. When this happens, they’ll coordinate with another expert, typically from another city, and handle the transfer of your device. Don’t worry, they’ll regularly give you rundowns on what’s happening.
If only they could be as proactive with updating their open hours. There have been complaints about clients showing up around an hour before closing and getting disappointed to see that the shop was already closed.

For more than 30 years, Century Computer has been a one-stop shop for digital services. These include offering helpdesk support, cybersecurity, and repairs.
Their technicians can usually diagnose a problem very fast. Unlike other places that’ll ask you to leave your gadget behind, the staff here can do it while you’re still in the store.
But what really made us believe in their skills is their ability to bring back devices from the dead. Even if your PC refuses to turn on, their experts will find a way to get it up and running again, as if nothing happened.
Just take note that their quoted price isn’t always transparent. There have been a couple of instances in the past where they approached customers midway with repairs, saying that they were going to have to charge higher than what was originally agreed upon.

They installed new hard drive and reinstalled Windows and a few other things. Took it in on Thursday and had it back on Friday. The final bill was about $200 and I was very happy with that. A lot of people know MysteryByte Computers as one of the best places where you can get pre-built PCs. But we think that their repair services deserve a spotlight as well.
Maybe it’s because of how much their experts know about parts, but they can quickly spot the source of a computer problem. What makes this even better is that the shop usually already has the necessary replacements in stock.
In the event that a repair job is a bit more complicated than what they’re used to, they’ll ask to keep your device and return it in a few days. Clients say they occasionally get freebies, like new power cords, when this happens.
But be warned that they turn away customers sometimes, saying that the service they want can be done at home with the help of a tutorial. Although we find the honesty refreshing, we ultimately think this just isn’t considerate of those who aren’t too techy.
