We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Your wedding day should be about celebrating with the people you love, not worrying about schedules or last-minute details.

Choosing one of the best wedding planners in Halifax can help take the pressure off by managing everything from vendor coordination to event logistics.

Whether you’re dreaming of a waterfront ceremony or an elegant ballroom reception, local planners know how to create a smooth and memorable experience.

I’ve rounded up some of Halifax’s top wedding planners to help you find the right fit for your special day.

How much does a wedding planner cost in Halifax?

A wedding planner in Halifax typically costs from $1,200 to over $6,000, depending heavily on the complexity and scope of your event.

Service LevelEstimated Cost
Day-of / Month-of Coordination$1,200 – $2,500
Partial Wedding Planning$2,500 – $4,500
Full-Service Planning & Design$4,500 – $6,000+

How I Reviewed

Vendor Network and Local Expertise: I assessed how well each planning team collaborates with regional venues and suppliers across Nova Scotia.

Having strong local connections ensures couples get the most reliable vendors and smoother logistics on their big day.
Service Versatility and Customization: I checked the variety of packages offered, from basic day-of management to comprehensive design consultations. This ensures that couples with varying budgets and planning needs can find a suitable tier.
Communication and Responsiveness: I considered how reliably these planners keep in touch with clients, especially those planning from out of province.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: I looked closely at how effectively these professionals handle sudden changes like extreme coastal weather or last-minute layout adjustments.

Address: 225 Herring Cove Road

Contact: (902) 719-9225 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Couples seeking an inclusive, women-owned team will appreciate how One Day Affair Wedding & Event Design creates an expressly Two-Spirit LGBTQIA+ affirming space.

They specialize in traditional setups and intimate elopements, offering extensive in-house decor rentals that keep your design visually cohesive.

Their design eye is magnificent, lifting the logistical burden completely off your shoulders so you can focus entirely on celebrating your love story.

When my close friend worked with them last summer, they noted how flawless the day-of execution felt from start to finish.

They even offer their own private micro-venue called One Day Social Affair.

However, because they heavily prioritize their proprietary intimate space for smaller gatherings, you might find fewer dedicated package options if you want to plan a micro-wedding at an external location.

Pros

  • Private in-house micro-venue
  • Comprehensive decor design rentals
  • Flawless day-of event execution
  • Fully inclusive affirming environment

Cons

  • Limited external micro-wedding packages

Customer Reviews:

So kind and lovely to work with

Shannon, Laura and the entire One Day Affair team made our wedding day dreams come true. They took our vision, elevated it and executed it to perfection. They are so kind and lovely to work with as well, which made the entire process stress free. Whatever you can dream up, they will make it happen. I would recommend them to absolutely everyone for a stress free wedding experience for the most beautiful wedding.

ODA saved our wedding day decor

ODA saved our wedding day decor! We had ordered greenery online and found out it wasn’t going to make it on time the day before our event. I emailed ODA the night before asking if there was any way they could help, not expecting a response as it was so last minute, but they replied!

2. Pineapple Eventworks

Website:https://www.pineappleworks.ca/

Address: 618 Bedford Hwy

Contact: (902) 367-4944 | [email protected]

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

If you’d rather work with one team instead of coordinating multiple vendors, Pineapple Eventworks makes wedding planning much easier.

In addition to traditional planning services, they offer certified in-house bartenders, custom balloon décor, and event coordination, giving couples more under one roof.

Their team is also quick to adapt when unexpected challenges arise, whether that’s moving an outdoor ceremony because of coastal weather or adjusting plans to meet changing requirements.

Since they work as a party planner for birthdays, corporate events, and other celebrations, they bring plenty of experience beyond weddings.

The tradeoff is that couples looking for a luxury wedding-only boutique may prefer a more specialized planner.

Still, they’re an excellent choice for couples planning a Halifax wedding from another province or country, thanks to their flexibility with different time zones.

Pros

  • Certified in-house hospitality staff
  • Custom balloon decor setups
  • Adaptable emergency weather contingency
  • Convenient long-distance client planning

Cons

  • Limited luxury wedding focus

Customer Reviews:

Tina kept us organized, on track, and regularly raised planning details

We worked with Tina and Pineapple Events to plan our October 2025 wedding, and had a really positive experience! As an Ontario-based couple with the majority of our guests travelling in from out of province, it was such a relief to have someone with strong local knowledge and relationships guiding us through the process. Tina kept us organized, on track, and regularly raised planning details we never would have thought of ourselves.

Would choose to work with Pineapple Eventworks again in a heartbeat

If we had to do it all over again, we would choose to work with Pineapple Eventworks again in a heartbeat. Tina planned a Bijou Micro wedding for us and we could not have been happier with the entire experience. We loved the Bijou Micro wedding offering because it allowed us the intimacy of a small wedding without compromising on any of the other details.

Coastal weddings often require extra planning, and this team has the local knowledge to make the process much smoother.

Known for coordinating weddings at venues like Oceanstone Seaside Resort, they offer flexible planning packages designed to support couples at every stage of the planning journey.

Whether you need full-service planning or day-of coordination, their approach is highly organized and personalized.

Lead coordinator Caitlin Gray also made a strong impression with her calm personality and thoughtful guidance, helping couples feel more relaxed throughout the planning process.

Her experience solving vendor and venue challenges adds even more confidence on the wedding day.

One thing to keep in mind is that consultations are limited to weekdays, which may be less convenient for busy professionals.

Pros

  • Highly flexible package tiers
  • Calming client anxiety relief
  • Deep coastal resort expertise
  • Hands-off vendor troubleshooting management

Cons

  • Only open on weekdays

Customer Reviews:

Incredibly personable

Lots of people assume you can do this yourself or enlist a family member, but it’s SO important to have a professional on your side to be your advocate – weddings can be stressful!! After considering a few local options, I chose Caitlin. She’s insanely organized, incredibly personable and the perfect fit for anyone who values having time to enjoy their wedding day. I was able to hang with family and friends, have special moments with my husband, and dance-offs with my niece and nephew, instead of stressing about items that Caitlin had completely under control.

Excellent multitasker

We had Caitlin for the month leading up to our wedding day. She was very well organized as a wedding / event planner should be. She’s an excellent multitasker and stayed positive throughout the whole planning process. She is great with managing time and everything stayed right on track day of wedding.

4. House (Graceful Weddings & Events)

Address: 74 Tilbury Ave Bedford

Contact: (902) 471-1576 | [email protected] | gracefulweddingsandevents.ca

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

House Graceful Weddings & Events is a great fit for couples organizing weddings across more than one location.

They handle everything from design to multi-venue coordination and regularly travel throughout Nova Scotia and neighboring Atlantic Provinces.

As experienced event planners, they provide honest recommendations that help tie every part of the celebration together.

I also appreciate their hands-on approach to venue setup. Their clear communication with couples is also a plus for those who are planning from outside the region.

Do take note, though, that they’re not entertaining briefings and consultations on weekends, as they’re busy focusing on events scheduled on those days.

Pros

  • Extensive Atlantic province travel
  • Multi-venue coordination logistics
  • Dedicated physical setup services
  • Transparent remote client communication

Cons

  • Not accepting calls on weekends

Customer Reviews:

Hannah is amazing at her craft

There is no debate, hiring a planner is worth it. And Hannah is amazing at her craft. She will also be so considerate, compassionate and just as excited about your day as your are. We could not imagine navigating this milestone without her

Hannah’s the most professional

Where do we begin with working with Hannah? She is the most professional, hardworking, smart woman who has created such a successful wedding planning business. From day one we knew Hannah was going to be just what we were looking for to satisfy our wedding planning needs.

5. Julie K Events

julie-k-events

Website:https://juliekevents.com/

Address: Purdy’s Wharf, 1959 Upper Water St, Suite 1301 Tower 1

Contact: (902) 403-5050

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

For couples who want a wedding that’s anything but ordinary, this planner offers a fresh take on luxury celebrations.

Their specialty is all-inclusive elopements with extraordinary experiences, from helicopter flights to intimate ceremonies on private islands.

I love how they provide educational workshops that help couples organize their ideas and budget before choosing vendors, making the planning process much smoother.

But because the company serves both Alberta and Nova Scotia while operating only 4 days a week, scheduling in-person consultations may require some flexibility.

Even so, their cross-provincial experience makes them an excellent resource for destination couples looking for reliable local suppliers.

Pros

  • Unique high-end elopement packages
  • Budget clarity engagement workshops
  • Vetted local vendor selection
  • Ideal long-distance proxy coordination

Cons

  • Restricted four-day work week
