Where is North End, Halifax?
The North End of Halifax lies just north of downtown, bordered by Cogswell Street, Windsor Street, the Halifax Harbour, and the Bedford Basin.
How to Get to North End, Halifax
Walk: The North End is within walking distance from Downtown Halifax. From the Citadel, you’ll reach it in 15 minutes or less.
Just cross Ta13 Road and make your way to the Old Town Clock on Brunswick Street. Then, turn left on Gottingen Street and cross Cogswell Street to enter the neighborhood.
Bike: You can bike to the North End from anywhere in Downtown Halifax, which should take about 6 minutes or less.
If you’re coming from the Citadel, you can exit Ta13 Road and move north onto Ahern. Follow the roundabout to Cogswell Street, then turn left on Bauer or Gottingen.
Drive: The North End is a quick 3-minute drive away from the Citadel and other popular attractions. When you exit the Citadel, go onto Ahern Avenue and follow Cogswell Street.
Bus: Take the 7B on Scotia Square via Robie, which is on Barrington Street before Sackville. It will take you all the way to the North End via Gottingen Street.
